  1. Software Redistribution Information for OpenDoc Software Developer’s Kit

  4. The following list describes the Apple Software that Licensees of OpenDoc SDK may incorporate into their own programs and distribute (in Object code form only), solely with their own programs, pursuant to the terms of the OpenDoc SDK Software License.  An electronic version of this license is provided in the same folder as this document.

  6. •     The following OpenDoc™ files ( OpenDocLib, Memory Manager, OpenDoc System Data, 
  7.     OpenDoc Editor Setup, Editor Setup Document, OpenDoc™ , SOMobjects™ for Mac™ OS)
  8.  
  9. •    The following CFM Files (CFM-68k Runtime Enabler, NuDragLib.slb, NuTranslationLib.slb, 
  10.          NuQuickTimeLib.slb, NuThreadsLib.slb, ObjectSupportLib, QuickDraw™ GX 
  11.    Enabler)
  12.  
  13. •     The following extensions and control panels ( Macintosh Drag and Drop, Clipping Extension, 
  14.     Apple® Event Manager)
  15.  
  16. •  Object code derivations of the sample code provided as part of the OpenDoc Development 
  17.           Framework (ODF) Release 1.
  18.  
  19. •  The unmodified version of the OpenDoc Development Framework (ODF) Shared Library 1.0 
  20.     object code, only when incorporated in licensee's software. 
  21.  
  22. •   OpenDoc Development Framework (ODF) Static Libraries object code, only when 
  23.           incorporated in licensee's software application.

  26. Restrictions on Modification of Source Code for OpenDoc, CFM-68k or OpenDoc Development Framework (ODF)

  30. The Software Licenses allow you to modify Apple Software, subject to the restrictions described in the Licensing Folder.
  31.  
  32. The restrictions are as follows:
  33.  
  34. •  You may not modify any Apple Software that is provided in object code form only.
  35.  
  36. •  Except as stated below, you may modify, incorporate in your applications, and distribute in 
  37.     object form the files contained in the DU Projects folder and the ODFDev folder.
  38.  
  39. •  You may not distribute any portion of the ODF source code, unlinked object code, or 
  40.     documentation, in original or translated form, without further written permission from 
  41.     Apple.  Licensee may modify the ODF Source Code (with the exception of the OpenDoc 
  42.     Development Framework (ODF) Shared Library 1.0), recompile it and ship the modified ODF 
  43.     Object Code linked with Licensee's program.  Licensee may not distribute either the 
  44.     original or the modified  source code or unlinked object code without further written 
  45.     permission from Apple.  Licensee may offer the source code modifications to Apple without 
  46.     charge as a proposed improvement to the system.

  48. •  YOU MAY NOT MODIFY OR INCORPORATE INTO YOUR APPLICATIONS ANY FILES NOT 
  49.     LISTED ABOVE.
